Yuanda's idea

I had a little story came to my mind for project one. Yessenia mentioned ghosts or zombies on the ship. It reminded me the TV series I had been watching, American Horror Story Coven. It talked about witches. It inspires me about the story I am gonna write below.

Characters: 

John: male, around 60 years old, terminal stage of cancer.

Marry: John's wife, over 300 years old, witch, looks like 30 years old.

There’s an old happy couple John and Marry. They had a great life, but the husband John got terminal stages of cancer, so they decided to go a cruise trip at the end of John’s life. John planed to commit suicide alone on the trip because he didn’t want to become the burden of Marry. Marry had similar thoughts, but she wanted to die with John. Her plan was taking a little emergency boat in the middle of the trip and drift to death.

However, Marry was not a normal person. She was a witch. She tried all her magic to cure John but failed. She knew she would lose power by leaving the ground. That’s why she picked cruise. Once she got on the ship her face started to wrinkle day by day. Her body became weaker and weaker. At the beginning of their cruise trip, Marry always used her magic trick to fool people and take advantage of them. But while she’s getting weaker, she decided to not pretend happy any more and she desired more and more time to company and live with John. Once they give up pretending, Marry accepts the truth that John is dying, and  they start to enjoy the peace and sorrow of life.  

This little story could be a vignette of the main story.
