Another Scene idea from Collin

ACT II

Scene 3



Brian and Shelly have been running around the cruise ship trying to figure out who has been murdering cast and crew members of their cruise ship mystery dinner theatre, "Blood on the Water".  They have now become paranoid and have stopped working together, they now face off with each other...

SHELLY

How do I know you're not the killer?

BRIAN

Are you kidding me?  I've been with you the entire time?!

SHELLY

I know, but every time the lights go out, someone ends up dead...that's just not normal.

BRIAN

Yea, I know, how do I know YOU'RE not the killer?  You've been with me the entire time; it could have just as easily been you.

At this moment in time, Brian notices a lead pipe on the ground and Shelly notices an axe laying on the ground, they both bolt and pickup theses items and stand oppposite each other.  They begin to circle around each other, taking goofy enguardes and posture.

SHELLY

Pretty hard to plead a case for your innocence with a lead pipe in your hand.

BRIAN

Okay Paul Bunyan, that axe is definitely lowering my blood pressure.

SHELLY

Okay, this is ridiculous...why don't we both put down our weapons at the same time and think rationally about all this?

BRIAN

Okay...on the count of three, we'll both put them down at the same time.

SHELLY

Alright.

They both prepare to drop their weapons.

One.  Two. Three!!!

Neither of them drop their weapon.

BRIAN

You didn't drop your weapon!

SHELLY

Neither did you!  Guuuh!  Okay, for reals this time.

ONE, TWO, THREE!

They each charge towards each other, just about they are about to clash, the lights go out.
