I like
most of the ideas you guys have been bringing to the table. The only thing I
would LOVE to do, regardless of the style, is something with a meaning. I
really like the social meaning that came out of Isaac’s idea of the WC
malfunction.
Idea/Scenario

If
we go for vignettes, I think there still needs to be a general concept that
drives the common denominator character (based in James’ idea) to move across
the different scenes.

I
will like to have some interaction with the audience, not during the entire
thing, but maybe during the musical. Have some “show audience” and some “real
audience” and the singers surprising the real audience when actually crossing
the 4th wall. It can also happen –depending in the location-
when the audience starts getting in their seats, or as they go to their seats.
Maybe have cast members greeting them?

In
a personal note :P I always find it funny when I see people with darker skin
than me, with VERY Latino names getting offended because I ask if they’re of a Latino
background. The answer is almost always “My parents are, I’m from Los
Angeles” which I think it’s hysterical. Or VERY proud Chicanos not able to
say “Gracias” because they never learned Spanish. ANYWAYS, just throwing that since I’ve always
found fascinating the need we all have to be accepted in a group and how that
can lead us to deny our roots. The topic can hurt some feelings :P but if you
go for that or something like that you can blame it on me muahahahahaha… :P
